Introducing Emery & Levi…

I know many have been waiting for this post for some time! The thing is, these two little ones keep me pretty busy. They’ve been fabulous babies, but yet still take time. They will be 7 weeks old this week and I can hardly believe how much they’ve changed and grown. But, most of all I am amazed at how much our family has changed and grown and will continue to do so. These little loves have changed Jake and my life for the better and I already don’t know what I’d do without them. Besides sleep more, that is…

First, I’d like to introduce “Baby A,” Miss Emery Mae Marthaler. She weighed in at 5 lb 4 oz and 19 inches long. She is our sweet pea, smiley little lady who loves to cuddle!

And, introducing “Baby B,” Levi Jacob Marthaler, weighing in at 5 lbs. 8 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Levi is our handsome, serious little guy!

These two were great little baby models for their mom! Let’s just hope this keeps continuing!

And Emery…

Emery & Levi’s nursery is decorated in lambs, so it was only fitting that when I found lamb hats we had to do photos in them for the nursery!

And, thank you to all who have been so patient with me while I’ve been on maternity leave! I plan to be back in May and can’t wait to get behind the camera again!

A big thank you to our dear friend, Noelle, for giving us a hand for the twins newborn session!

alissa + thadd – engaged!

Alissa and Thadd wanted cattle theme in their engagement photos. If you know me, you know that makes me pretty excited!! Like Jake and I, Alissa & Thadd met through the cattle industry. Not only are beef cattle something both Alissa & Thadd are very passionate about, but having the opportunity to meet each other from states away probably wouldn’t have happened otherwise!

I’ve been able to watch their relationship grow from when they first started dating. So, to get the opprotunity to photograph their special day is pretty exciting!

Rachel and John are so laid back and just all about having a good time. Which always makes for a super fun wedding day as their excitement just spilled out into the wedding party & guests! Their friends were so supportive and helpful all day long. Plus, gorgeous August weather… they had a perfect wedding.

The day began at the St. Thomas campus chapel… was it ever a gorgeous setting!

I love the excitement of the first look that my assistant, Morgan Klinnert captured!

This little sweetie turned one a few months ago and the session slipped by my blogging radar. It must have been to save it for a special day – and there is no better day to share these sweet photos than today!

Little Regan has conquered more in her first year of life than most of us adults have. At just 6 months old she had heart failure which left her waiting on a mechanical (berlin) heart until her angel heart came along. A what a tough little girl she proved to be! Her new heart has been a perfect fit – and, what better way to celebrate than with some heart photos for Valentine’s day!!

Isn’t she just the cutest? All the little cuties I photograph make me even more excited my new little “loves” to be arriving sometime in the next month!

Cassie & John Wedding

Cassie and John are such a sweet couple… It’s just so fun to see them interact and you can just tell they are the perfect match for each other. They tied the knot in the dead heat of the summer. Days we would long for now, but at the time air conditioning felt pretty great! Take a look at their gorgeous day…

I just love the excitement of the first look!

Cassie’s sisters sang at the ceremony. Let’s just say they could stop people dead in their tracks about anywhere with their singing – they are so talented!

By evening it started to cool off a bit so we were able to get some fun outdoor photos before the party began!

Wedding details are oh so pretty and this wedding was no exception!

Congratulations Cassie & John! It was so great to spend your special day with you two!

Kelly + Andy – engaged!

It was a beautiful fall evening when we took Kelly & Andy’s engagement photos on St. John’s campus. The location where their love story began! These two met during college and have such great chemistry together. Their images turned out so beautiful – I love how comfortable they are with each other!

He makes her so happy… i love it!

Congratulations Kelly & Andy! I can’t wait for your wedding coming up this fall!

Grand Opening!

Now that the holiday rush has settled down at the studio I am finally getting these photos up on the blog! The Grand Opening of the new studio space went fantastic to say the least! We had an awesome turn out and it was great to visit with past and new clients as well as family & friends!

My sister, Rita, made some beautiful & scrumptious cheesecakes for the occasion..

Lucy & Rita kept everything in line at the food area!

And, people ask why we have a pool table. Because it’s a big hit, that’s why!

Linsey + Matt – engaged

Linsey + Matt have a winter wedding coming up… in about 10 days! From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be gorgeous. And, I love winter weddings. There are sure to be some fantastic images coming soon of their big day!
